E AND G (UK) SERVICES LTD

Last updated: 31 July 2026

Who we are

E AND G (UK) SERVICES LTD (company number 05342105) is the data controller for the personal information described in this notice. We provide freight forwarding services between the UK and Ghana. Contact us: customersupport@eagus.com, or by post at Rear of Unit 1-3 County House, Heron Trading Estate, Robert Way, Wickford, Essex, SS11 8BN.

What we collect

If you book or send a shipment with us: your name, phone number, and collection address; the recipient's name, Ghana phone number(s), delivery region, and delivery notes; a description of your items and photographs taken at collection and delivery; payment information (amount, method, and a reference — your full card number is handled securely by our payment provider and never stored by us); and the email address or WhatsApp number you choose for your receipt and any payment link.

If you ship a vehicle with us, we also collect your V5C logbook (or equivalent proof of ownership) to confirm you're entitled to ship it.

If you track a shipment online, we collect your receipt reference and the phone number used at collection, to confirm you're entitled to see that shipment's status. We do not store your IP address for this.

If you submit a booking or enquiry form on our website, we collect whatever you provide, including any photos you choose to attach.

Why we use it

To provide the service you've asked for: arranging collection, recording and pricing what we ship, taking and reconciling payment, coordinating delivery in Ghana, handling customs clearance on your behalf, and answering questions or complaints. Our lawful bases are performance of our contract with you, and our legitimate interests in running the service.

Who we share it with

Our service providers under data-processing agreements (database/storage, payment, email, and WhatsApp messaging providers); our delivery partners and agents in Ghana, who receive the recipient's name, phone, and delivery details to deliver your goods and support customs clearance. We do not sell your data or use it for advertising.

International transfers

Because we deliver to Ghana, we share recipient delivery details (and, for vehicle/whole-container customers using our agent's support, some shipment details) with our partners there, relying on the necessity for performance of a contract basis under UK GDPR Article 49(1)(b).

How long we keep it

Operational and financial records are kept as long as needed for the service and our legal/accounting obligations. Collection and delivery photos are kept for around two years then reviewed. Enquiry/booking submissions are kept while relevant, then archived.

Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct, or erase your data, or restrict/object to processing — contact customersupport@eagus.com; we aim to respond within one month. You can complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk.
